About Dr. Patricia Hess
Dr. Patricia A. Hess is originally from Houston, Texas where she grew up as one of nine children. Dr. Hess completed her medical school training as well as her General Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training all at The University of Texas Medical School – Houston, which is nestled within the largest Medical Center in the world.
Dr. Hess graduated from medical school in 2004 and completed her training in the field of Psychiatry in 2009.
Dr. Hess is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist and a Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.Before moving to Florida in 2009.
Dr. Hess worked as a clinical specialist on the psychiatric team at the world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Hess started her solo Practice in Gainesville Florida in 2010. She is proud to serve the families of Gainesville and surrounding areas.
Dr. Hess is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Florida and Texas. She focuses on the treatment of all psychiatric disorders primarily for children, teens and young adults ages 3-26.
About Jamie Primosch, PA-C
Jamie Davis Primosch PA-C is a Gainesville native who completed her Physician Assistant/Physician Associate training at Emory University in 2009. After living in Atlanta, Georgia, she decided to return to her roots in Gainesville and has been serving the medical needs of our community for the past 10 years.
Jamie attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health and is a Gator through and through. Before pursuing her Master’s, she spent 2 years abroad serving in the United States Peace Corps. Jamie has a true passion for mental health and is excited to join Dr. Hess’s team and continue providing high quality psychiatric care in her hometown.
In Jamie’s free time, you will find her on the tennis court, enjoying the outdoor nature and beauty of Alachua county, attending Gator sporting events, and most frequently being a cheerleader at her 8 and 11-year-old’s sporting events. Jamie is licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Pennsylvania and New York. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
